Penwith Society Of Arts Winter Exhibition
In light of the ongoing COVID situation, I was delighted to be able to help the team hang the Associates’ Winter Show at the Penwith Gallery in St. Ives last week. Armed with a hammer, tape measure and spirit level, I had a fascinating day learning how to position and hang the art. It was lovely to be part of a team, all of whom share a passion for abstract art. Together with the Members’ Show, the Associates’ Exhibition will go online this week until early December. Once lockdown is lifted, the show will be open to the public throughout December until early January 2021.
I am so pleased to report that two of my pieces of work, ‘Fossils’ and ‘Beneath Three Boulders’ were chosen for the Associates’ Show.
If you haven’t been to the Penwith Gallery before, then I urge you to go once it reopens after lockdown. It contains such fantastic contemporary art from artists all over Cornwall and beyond and is a real, living piece of art history. If you have been before, then I hope you get the chance to pop into this vibrant gallery and see the exhibition soon.
